Our sanctuary is currently under construction. We would like to give a home and lots of love not only to so-called pets such as dogs and cats, but also to so-called “farm animals”.
Therefore, we will first build fences so that the property is escape-proof (for our fellow residents) and burglar-proof (for predators, for example). After that, the stables and shelters for the animals will be built.
We still have a long way to go and a lot of work to do before we can take in animals such as chickens, sheep, goats, possibly cows, etc. Until then, cats and dogs are already finding a home with us (forever or temporarily). Here you can get to know our current residents:
However, we do not only want to take in abandoned and abused animals that are in need of help but ideally we want to prevent that there are so many animals in need of help in the first place.
This is why we eat exclusively vegan, for example, because not only meat but also all other animal products such as milk, cheese and eggs are causing an incredible amount of animal suffering.
If you want to learn more about this topic, we have more information for you here:
Apart from that, we advocate that street cats and dogs are neutered or sterilised. This is the only way to effectively prevent suffering in the long run. We are planning to start our own sterilisation campaigns in the future, because unfortunately we can only take in a limited number of stray cats and dogs and through these campaigns we can get to the root of the problem.
